I was expecting this to be a little bit more fun but it felt very much like an informational tour of the Sonoma area/wineries. The whole tour was about 7 hours and we visited four wineries, between the time spent at each and travel time, we were more tired than buzzed. Also, even though it suggests that the wine tastings are optional, they are 'highly recommended', meaning, if you want to skip it there is either no alternative or you will have to sit outside and wait. So, bring an additional $100 for tasting fees. The HIGHLIGHT of the trip was the tasting with chocolate pairing. The host at that winery was so engaging and knowledgeable and the experience was unique!

Thank you for your review. The tour we offer, depending on where you are located and traffic starts at 10:30 and end around 4:30. If you are the first stop you are picked up earlier and therefore get the bonus of being on the trolley longer.
While the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley is primarily a wine tour, many people choose to just ride along and not taste wine. They just want to enjoy riding on the trolley. Many of our partner wineries allow you to share the tasting or skip them altogether. If you choose to skip them, which includes the tour you have the choice to sit an enjoy the sights and sounds of the wonderful winery, shop though the tasting room, or just relax and re-hydrate. However if you go on the tour then you would have to pay the winery fee. Every winery works in the same fashion and the costs vary. Many of our guests who are not wine drinkers give a call or let us know this in advance so that we can inform the tasting rooms that we have a few non drinkers.
Thank you for the feedback.
