Tonto National Forest

Once you meet your guide at the WeKoPa resort you will head drive about 10 minutes and enter the offroad trails in the Tonto National Forest in the ultimate off road vehicle - the Hummer H1, where you will spend 2 hours traversing river beds and sandy washes, while learning all about the splendor of the Sonoran Desert. You expert guide will offer history of the area, as well as teaching you all about the cactus and fauna. You will stop to view points of interest, drink water, take photos, and have snacks. Once you have finished the H1 Hummer desert tour you will be brought back to your car at the starting point.

Cactus Jack was full of knowledge and adventure. We learned so much about the desert and enjoyed the Mountain View, history of Phoenix, and the desert. We also stopped by the Fountain Hills fountain. It was truly a remarkable experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting in and around the area. Cactus Jack was the best.

My daughter and I did the H1 hummer adventure with Ken. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Ken was very knowledgeable about the desert and kept us engaged in the tour the whole time with interesting facts about the desert.

Love, love, LOVED this tour!!! This was such a fun and informative tour. We had an amazing time learning about the desert, taking in the gorgeous scenery and chatting with our tour guide, Ken. Also, we ended up being the only two in our group and Stellar did NOT cancel on us, which was SO appreciated! I can't recommend this tour enough. Word to the wise - the back of the Hummer is VERY WINDY on the way to the desert, so come prepared with hair ties, a light jacket and sunglasses!)
