What To Expect

Tonto National Forest

Once you meet your guide at the WeKoPa resort you will head drive about 10 minutes and enter the offroad trails in the Tonto National Forest in the ultimate off road vehicle - the Hummer H1, where you will spend 2 hours traversing river beds and sandy washes, while learning all about the splendor of the Sonoran Desert. You expert guide will offer history of the area, as well as teaching you all about the cactus and fauna. You will stop to view points of interest, drink water, take photos, and have snacks. Once you have finished the H1 Hummer desert tour you will be brought back to your car at the starting point.

We had a great time with our guide, Nick! He was a lot of fun and shared some great info about the area. The Hummer ride was an adventure! Would recommend for sure.

Daniel was awesome, and made the trip really enjoyable. He took the time to explain a ton of knowledge to us and our kids. Really good tour guide! I've been to PHX several times, and have never gone out in the desert before. It was a place you'd never go to, and was beautiful back there. You're in a Hummer, so you're never "in danger" of wildlife if that makes sense. It was 100% worth the time!
