You will start your excursion by checking into our log cabin office at the Talkeetna State Airport 45 minutes prior to your flight departure. Be sure to bring your sunglasses, light jacket (in the summer) and plenty of memory on your camera. Board our ski-equipped aircraft and enjoy your pilots' commentary about the geological history and local wildlife on your individual headset. Continue your flight above Talkeetna and over the river systems of the Susitna valley as you enter into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers and snow peaks. You'll be awed by the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier, filled with a 4,000 foot thick river of ice, making this one of the deepest gorges in the world. Add a glacier landing onto your trip for a highlight of your Alaska vacation. This will add 30 minutes onto your trip time for this chance to bask in awe inspiring scenery.

Great experience with Talkeetna Air Taxi! Margarit here and recently, I have had a great experience with Talkeetna Air Taxi over the McKinley Peak and Denali National Park in Alaska. They are very professional and they gave me the maximum confidence during the flight, the staff is very friendly and polite, they explained me the rules and the details of the flight. Viator over sold this flightseeing trip. Go directly through Talkeetna Air Taxi and book one of their longer flights… this is the shortest flight time and lowest elevation flight and does not include a glacier landing even though the description states that you could purchase an upgrade to do so. After I booked the flight there was no upgrade available. The folks at Talkeetna Air Taxi were wonderful and they informed me that they are not responsible for the Viator advertisement. Viator should make it clear that the “Southern” route is the shortest flight offered and that unless you purchase a flight that specifically includes landing on a glacier, there is no availability for an upgrade.
