Travel into the protected waters of Resurrection Bay in search of gray whale on their annual migration through Alaskan waters on this 4-hour excursion. Gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja to the Bering and Chukchi Seas each year in search of food. They begin their migration north in late February and travel through Alaskan waters in the spring. In addition to gray whales, watch for humpback whales, orca, Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and many other types of marine birds.

Our captain Laura was amazing. Very knowledgeable. As well as Kyle. We unfortunately did not see any whales but did see some smaller animals. I will come back to take another tour. Had complimentary coffee but wished they offered water as well.

This tour was amazing! We took our four children (ages 4 to 14) and our friends with their two children (age 4 and 11). The crew was there every step of the way with fun facts, suggestions, and quick to point out the wildlife. They provide binoculars which is a huge plus. Got to see the first humpback whale of the season, plus a variety of other wildlife (birds, sea lions, otters, mountain goats). The views are hard to describe, and it is a must when visiting Alaska! What to bring: snacks (especially for the kids), waters/juice, coloring books/crayons for the kids, rain jacket and boots, sunglasses for the glare, camera, alcohol is allowed (cans only!), dress in layers, and if you have never been a boat bring some Dramamine.

Did a whale watching cruise on Friday, March 29th. It was INCREDIBLE! The boat, Kenai Fjords 360 was new, immaculate, very comfortable with great views all around. The crew was amazing - always available to answer questions, take photos, and get anything anyone needed. The captain (Nicole) not only steered the boat well but also gave a great narration of all we were seeing. From check-in to disembarking... it was all amazing! I highly recommend Major Marine Tours for the best glacier tour, whale watching, and marine wildlife viewing!
