Travel into the protected waters of Resurrection Bay in search of gray whale on their annual migration through Alaskan waters on this 4-hour excursion. Gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja to the Bering and Chukchi Seas each year in search of food. They begin their migration north in late February and travel through Alaskan waters in the spring. In addition to gray whales, watch for humpback whales, orca, Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall's porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and many other types of marine birds.

It was a misty magical mysterious day with low ceiling clouds and velvety water in the bay. We saw hungry birds and lazy sea lions, as well as one vain, preening sea otter.... then Mandy threw her lucky mermaid back to the sea (a small painted stone meant for that purpose). The magic worked! We met gray whales, humpback whales, Dall's porpoise and I barely got seasick! Captain Chris was a fabulous narrator, and Justin and Elizabeth were attentive deck hands. Thank you so much for a most memorable day!❤

otters, sea birds, sea lions, porpoise, whales and more... this day was exactly what we needed this afternoon. The rain made for a dramatic and magical backdrop to the day. Thank you to our guide, Justin and Captain Chris for spotting the wildlife!! My first time seeing the gray whale migration. Our group was also able to identify a humpback (EVOS-JRM-20130411-081) who is now warmly named Sam. We will be back next April!!

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise! The boat was comfortable and Captain Laura gave a great tour. Although we did not get to see gray whales, we saw plenty of seabirds, otters, porpoises, Stellar sea lions, and goats (on the mountains). We would take this cruise again.
