Ideal for families, this ghost tour of St. Augustine’s spookiest sites combines light-hearted fun with spine-tingling tales of the city’s past. Alongside a costumed guide, you visit cemeteries, the ground of the Old Fort, and other haunted locations to discover the little-known legends that surround the romantic venue. This small-group tour is limited in order to maintain an atmosphere suitable for the ghost walk.

  • A Ghostly Encounter’s Storm Policy (as follows)
  • 1. A Ghostly Encounter tours operate rain or shine. Florida weather changes rapidly and is unpredictable, and we monitor our weather prior to all tours.
  • 2. If lighting is present in the area: we will delay the start of the tour for 20 minutes to give the storm time to pass, then proceed as normal.
  • 3. If lightening remains present in the area, management may decide to reschedule the tour. Guests will be moved to the following evening’s tours or to the nearest date convenient with the group.
  • 4. If rescheduling is not convenient, each guest will be provided a voucher for a future A Ghostly Encounter tour, subject to availability. For offer to be valid, guest must present the voucher directly to our office staff upon returning to St. Augustine or speak directly with the office staff to reschedule (not through a third-party booking site). Please remember to bring your voucher with you. Lost or forgotten vouchers will not be honored; however, vouchers do not expire.

Wife and I bailed about 30 minutes into the tour. We really were not feeling the vibes of the tour. The tour guide was good and very animated but we didn't feel the vibe. What we think killed it for us was the lack of history being presented. It felt more like, oh something spooky has happened here, than actually a historically event happened and then hauntings happened. It really felt more touristy than an actual ghost tour.

Benjamin, I wish you would have returned to the office after feeling as though this wasn't a tour for you. I would have offered you a chance to go with another guide. The history presented is enough to allow guests the opportunity to understand why places have paranormal activity. We do not go indepth the way we would on a History Tour. We can assure you that the history is accurate and the stories are truths/myths/legends a blend of all. Locals, as well as tourist, enjoy the mix between history and mystery. Thank you for saying the "tour guide was good and very animated." Jan has a passion for history and enjoys sharing that love with her guests. Enjoy your stay in St. Augustine!
