Outside this museum, we discuss how the land where the submarine base stands today was owned by John Houstoun McIntosh, who played an important role in the Patriot War of 1812. In this war, men of Southeast Georgia caused mayhem with their attempt to wrest control of Florida from the Spanish.

Very fun and informational tour. Deb did a GREAT job! About an hour of walking in downtown St.Marys and wrapping it up at Seagles.
