St. Marys Submarine Museum

Outside this museum, we discuss how the land where the submarine base stands today was owned by John Houstoun McIntosh, who played an important role in the Patriot War of 1812. In this war, men of Southeast Georgia caused mayhem with their attempt to wrest control of Florida from the Spanish.

We are new to St. Marys and took the Murder, Mayhem and Martinis tour with Deb as our guide. It was a fast paced tour of the underbelly of St. Marys dating back to the 1700 and 1800's up to and including the 1970's and 2011's. Fantastic stories of tangled webs and twisted plans for everything from rigged elections to murder for hire plots. It's an enjoyable way to spend an evening learning about this interesting small border town with a rich history.

Molly’s tour is excellent! I have lived in St Mary’s more than 30 years and still learned a lot. Most of Seminole Ave in St Marys went on the tour together and really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend to everyone.
