Explore St. Patrick's Cathedral, the largest gothic-style Catholic cathedral in the U.S., opened in 1879. Located on 5th Ave., opposite Rockefeller Center, it is one of NYC’s finest buildings. It’s an ever evolving labor of love to communicate as much as we can about St. Patrick’s Cathedral to those who wish to learn. We hope this tour will entertain and educate our millions of returning visitors from around the globe. During the months St. Patrick’s Cathedral was closed, we had the opportunity to overhaul and upgrade the entire audio tour. We added hundreds of new images and audio segments. The tour is offered in English, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese.

I have visited St. Patrick's Cathedral many times. In December 2021, I decided to do the Official Audio Tour (self-guided). I downloaded the tour on to my iPhone. It cost $20 plus tax. The self-guided tour takes about one hour. I saw the door with six saints, the various saints around the church, the Pieta, the Stations of the Cross, stained glass, the Lady Chapel, the Crypt, the Pulpit, the Altar, the Rose Window, the Organ and many other things. I was able to ask a priest questions when I needed to. It was a great tour and definitely worth the money. I learned a lot of new things about St. Patrick's Cathedral. You are allowed to retain the tour on your iPhone so I hope to do the tour again in the future.

Audio tour was helpful. Otherwise, I would not have understood what I was seeing. Part of the tour was blocked off for Christmas set up, so we were unable to view a few stops.

The tour guide never showed up. And when trying to get refunded they lied and said they where there.

This is an audio tour and there is NO tour guide. You are to go to the gift store and check in. The instructions are on the tickets. They say please go to the gift store and check in to receive your tablet and audio guide. You waited on 5th ave for a tour guide. Nowhere do we describe a live tour guide. You are welcome to use the ticket during your stay. Again we never said there was a tour guide, we said that you need to go to the gift store to check in.
