When it comes to Colorado whitewater, hardly anyone knows about the San Miguel River. Which is kind of a surprise! Given how much fun it is, on top of being in proximity to bougie and beloved Telluride.

The rafting section is gorgeously scenic, exciting for all experience levels, and pretty much a must if you want to spend the morning like a local. Its red sandstone canyon juxtaposed by flourishing pine forests make for a picturesque setting to recreate on this Rocky Mountain river.

Anyone who loves the outdoors will have an absolute hoot on this tour, whether it’s your first or hundredth time rafting. Just ask our guides, most— if not all!— will agree that the San Miguel is their favorite river to run.

We had a great rafting half day trip. The team was professional, they took care to explain and get everyone engaged in the trip. Our guide Rio was great. I would say it was the highlight of our trip.

We had an amazing family white water rafting down the San Miguel. The scenery is spectacular. It is a fairly mild river, but very fun. It was nice to have the wet suits in early June as the water is fairly cold being recent snow melt. We were plenty warm and had so much fun. Ben and Hannah made us all feel very safe and gave great directions. They made the trip enjoyable with the stories. Highly recommend this trip!

We took the morning 1/2 day rafting adventure on the San Miguel River. Our guide was great and we had a lot of fun. I'd absolutely go with Mild to WIld Rafting again. Beautiful scenery!
