We were really looking forward to enjoying the drinks and food along with learning a bit of history. Rochelle was friendly and enjoyed telling stories of Old Town. It was a perfect evening weather wise and we did meet some friendly people. We have been on several city food tours where there is more mingling of participants however we found that those who were in groups of fours stuck to themselves and were hard to socialize with. We also felt like the size of the group was too large 20 /- people.
We felt the best taco and margaritas were served at Café Coyote you could detect the drinks had tequila. However with each restaurant we visited you were left wondering if there was any tequila in the drinks. The final stop was at a shop which served up root beer floats the tastiest part of the agenda when arrived the proprietors seemed surprised to see us and were not at all prepared to serve such a large group0. I think a self guided tour would have been better you can buy your own margaritas 9with detectable tequila and choose tacos that may be more suitable to your palate.
Fun and tasty tour of Old Town. Had good margarita's and tacos at each stop. You will get full, don't worry. Each restaurant stop give you enough time to sit, chat and order drinks at the bar if you're that thirsty.
Great way to see the old town. Really loved trying the different margaritas and tacos. Rochelle had a really relaxed approach with lots of local knowledge. Great intro to san Diego!
