I hate to leave a bad review but this was a waste of time and money. We did not learn anything about tequila or tacos on this tour. When the guide was asked questions he knew nothing and literally read off the tequila bottle. We had one shot of tequila, while 4 unopened bottles sat on the table - not even sure which one we tried (the guide wasn’t either). We tried two different types of tacos but we don’t know why they’re different or how they came about. We was left on a table (16 strangers) while the guide sat on his phone the whole time. Awkwardly passing the tequila bottles around that we were never going to try. At the end we got a watery strawberry “margarita” which was just an insult to margaritas. It was sugar and ice, we threw ours away. We expected this to be fun and interactive and it was just pointless and a waste of money. We changed our plans to come on this tour and it was definitely our biggest mistake while in San Diego. Save your money and buy a nice dinner & margarita in the old town.

This is not the type of experience we'd ever want our guests to have. There is so much to the Old Town tour and the tour that is supposed enhance your experience of San Diego. It sounds like our guide dropped the ball here. We've addressed this with him. The guides are a major part of the experiences we create, and we do our best to make sure that they know the information of the restaurants, the history and food and drink we serve. We are working to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thanks for the feedback.

We had an amazing tour with Kristen. She was very knowledgeable, not only about the food tour but also about animals at the San Diego zoo! Food was also great. Highly recommend!!

I personally didn't know about Kristen's knowledge about the animals at the Zoo, but it's great to know that our guides share our love for all things in San Diego!
