Our guide Eugene was absolutely phenomenal. Over the course of the day, I learned so much history about the state and the island! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with a day to spare as you cover it all. Take the tour the first day you are in town so that you can go back to some of your favorites later in your stay.
The part of the tour that visits Pearl Harbor is not to be missed. This is a memorial that everyone should see and experience.
The rest of the tour circles the island as advertised. It can't stop at the beautiful north and east shore beaches due to local ordinances prohibiting tour vans/shuttle busses from stopping. However it does stop at tourist traps Dole pineapple farm and a Macadamia nut farm which by comparison aren't worth it and pretty much a waste of time. However, the lunch that is provided was excellent and based on the numerous tours we've taken, the best we've had.
The condition of the roads around the island are horrible. Our bus bumped, creaked and jostled us around for hours. Honestly we were glad to get off shuttle bus.
In summary, some of this was good and some of it wasn't. We get to see some of the island's beauty but only by driving/bumping by it.
Our tour guide was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We could not have had a more pleasant tour. It was AWESOME !
