Our family, consisting of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, visited the park for an entire day. Oh, and we had one additional castaway our daughter calls her best friend so there were 5 of us in total.
To make a long story short we decided to splurge a little and we purchased 5 VIP passes for the day. This was the BEST decision we could have possibly made. We had the best time, period! We waited on line for MAYBE 2-3 minutes at the very most. Usually we didn't wait at all. Did I mention the avg wait time was 120-130 mins per ride?! We had a tour guide named Cara who was phenomenal. Out meals were covered as well. I could go on and on but I won't. The bottom line for us was rhe fact that our time is worth something and we did not want memories of standing in lines for 2/3 of the day. We traveled from Oregon and wanted to make the most of the trip and the VIP package certainly did not disappoint. Not to mention that the cost of a general admission is not that much less than a VIP pass when you take everything you receive into consideration like excellent food, a personal tour guide, no wait time, etc. And, you do not have to stay with your guide, you can break off at any point but we decided to stay with her until the park closed. Cara has worked at the park for 6 years and you would think she's been their maybe 6 months. Very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable.
At the end of our very memorable day I asked my wife if she'd do it all over again and before I finished my question her response was 'absolutely'. Just a little side note: we are not wealthy, we are in the middle class and work hard for our money so it was a tough decision initally. What memories we will always have!
