Smoky Mountain Outdoors white water rafting was our favorite part of our short trip to Tennessee. The trip was 6 1/2 miles on through Upper Pigeon Forge. We had 7 in our group, plus our guide Sean, who was awesome. He was very informative, knew where all the rocks in rapids were and their given names, and all the names of the species of birds and bugs. We also saw a bald eagle, a large deer, herring, and a turtle which was awesome because after driving through the Smokies and through Cades Cove it was the first wildlife we really saw. The rapids were class 3 & 4, but as first timers we did really well, even with 3 kids, ages 11 and two 13 year olds. My husband did fall out when we hit a rapid and the guide acted FAST and pulled him back in, he was fine. And my kids loved this more than anything we’ve done. If we make it back down here in the future we will visit again. You will not be disappointed!

Wow! Sounds like a great adventure. The Pigeon River Gorge is one of the prettiest areas of the Smokies, and I'm glad the wildlife was out and about to add to the adventure. And thank you for the great comments about your guide Sean. All of our guides are safety-focused, and I'm glad he was able to lend a helping hand to your husband. Please come back and see us again, and have a great rest of the summer!
