As part of our tour, we will make a stop at Ho'okipa beach, one of Maui's most picturesque beaches. It's the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring the Road to Hana. Aside from swimming and snorkeling, you'll have the chance to spot Hawaiian Green sea turtles, known as honu, that frequent the area. Be sure to keep a respectful distance, as they are protected by federal and state law. The best time to view these amazing creatures is in the evening, when many honu stroll onto the shore to rest and take in the stunning Hawaiian sunset.

It's remarkable to think that the soil was brought down here basket by basket, but it's true since the area is made up of young lava rock that was created quite recently (in geological terms) during a massive flow from Haleakala.

Located adjacent to the Pi'ina'au Stream, the Ke'anae Arboretum features terraces built by ancient Hawaiians for cultivating taro, which was a staple of their diet. We had an absolutely wonderful day! Our guide John was awesome. So knowledgeable and informative. We left at 10 and didn’t get back to the ship until 7ish. We got to see so much of the beauty of Maui. Beaches , waterfalls, green sea turtles, gorgeous scenic views . I would highly recommend recommend this tour for anyone visiting this beautiful island.
