The Bryan Museum, located in Galveston, TX in the 1895 Galveston Orphans Home, houses the Bryan Collection, one of the world’s largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, and artwork relating to Texas and the American West. The collection spans more than 12,000 years, with pieces ranging from ancient Native American cultural artifacts to twenty-first century objects. Wow. This is a great Texas History museum. The artifacts are incredible. Lots of great Texas artists. The saddle collection is incredible. An excellent experience. One of my favorite museums

Mom and I toured the Bryan Museum on a rainy Saturday, and it is just a wonderful museum. Really, we went for the building it is housed in as we love old architecture, and the building predates the 1900’s storm. We were in awe of the collection they have curated. Additionally, they had an interactive exhibit on immigration that was touring the country. It is wheelchair accessible. The grounds are gorgeous. We are taking Dad when we go back as he likes wester history.
