A Safe and Tranquil Taste of the Wailua River

This three-hour guided tour is a wonderful paddling adventure for the whole family, idyllic paddling on the Wailua River Great panoramic scenery with the landscape and natural history genuinely and safely explained by your water borne guide.

The Wailua River became the center of activity for early Hawaiians and is known as one of Hawaii’s two most sacred places.

At night, it is said that one can still hear ancient drums thunder in concert with the nearby surf. This tour is perfect for those who want a “taste” of this wonderful river.

Highly recommend this adventure! We had Izzy or AKA Auntie as our guide and couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about Kauai life and nature on our hike, and kayaking the river was just gorgeous!

One of the highlights of our trip to Kauai - the kayaking and hiking were strenuous enough for our fittest family members but doable for the whole family. River and hike were gorgeous and guide was very knowledgeable and took care with everyone to ensure a fun and safe trip.

Problems with excursion from the start. Hard to find location because no address or name of company provided. Not the leisurely paddle described. Paddled nonstop for five miles on hot day to keep up with guide. Only take this paddle if you want a strenuous upper body workout and are in very good physical shape.

Aloha Susan, We do have a link solely dedicated on our www site to how to find us at the Wailua River Marina. Apologize if you found the distance and pace not to your fancy. The actual paddle ROUND TRIP flirts around 5 miles. We do promote the tour for the active person, couple or family.
