We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

Michelle obviously loves history. While not from Savannah originally, she has accumulated lots of facts and enjoys sharing with others. We chose this tour as we did not want a performance, but rather have a genuine appreciation for the city. The pace was leisurely...not strenuous...but informative.

March 8, 2016: Just completed an hour and a half walking tour of the historic district of downtown Savannah, and it was a wonderful experience! I was on a tour with Michelle - who knew an incredible amount about the city. She gave us a great historical context and wove it into present day life in Savannah. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get an inside perspective into the history of Savannah!
