We will learn about the beginning of Georgia and tour the original squares. Discuss the Colonial way of life churches, monuments and markers in this area as we journey into a timeline walk of the Historic District. Then our tour proceeds down Bull Street. The tour is one miles of walking and includes stops at Civil War homes, Cemetery, Theaters and famous movie locations.

This was one of the best things we did while we visited Savannah. Before we even started walking we learned how Georgia was founded and the purpose of the layout of the city. We did a walk through time and the guides love for the city showed us a side that we did not see while we were on a Trolley tour. Her recommendation for lunch was perfect. I only wish we could have taken her to Charleston!

We have lived in the area for a few years and visit Savannah often, but did not know a lot about the history of the city. Michelle is very knowledgeable and she enthusiastically described the architecture, history, from when it was established to present day including the Revolutionary and Civil wars, and the famous inhabitants of each historic house. She is also up to date on current events and activities. The walk is at a good pace and is a good length. We would definitely recommend this tour to others and plan to bring family and friend on it in the future!

This tour is a great way to start your stay in Savannah. Michelle provides a terrific overview of the history, architecture, and landscape of Savannah. You can tell Michelle loves Savannah, and is always trying to learn more to improve her tours. She is also very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Michelle is fantastic!
