I found a Groupon for this excursion and decided it would be a fun way to spend the day with my mom, two aunts, and daughter (3 years old). We got to see dolphins and whales, and my daughter was very excited, so all-in-all, I guess it was a successful trip.
I was a little annoyed with a crew member who kept telling my daughter she couldn't sit here, or stand there, or do this, or do that. 3 hours is a long time for a child that young to sit still on a bench. I realize safety is important, but there were some instances where I was holding on to her, and was told "it wasn't safe". I am 7 months pregnant, and I was allowed to hold her at the railing of the boat, but could not let her stand on the bench (away from the water) with my arms around her? Carrying her and holding her for long periods of time are difficult when you're 7 months pregnant. But I did the best I could to make sure she was happy. I have been on many boats (dolphin/whale watching, fishing trips, private, etc) and never felt so restricted.
The food prices on the boat were also very overpriced, in my opinion.
Overall, I'm glad my daughter got to see some dolphins and whales, but I would not go on this trip again. At least not with a child so young.
