This tour is a great way to experience some amazing sights of Alaska, wildlife, glaciers, and a rainforest within a half day. Your guide will pick you up from downtown Anchorage and drive along Turnagain Arm, which boasts abundant scenic views and Alaskan wildlife within easy access to the city of Anchorage. Along the way, you will learn many interesting facts about this area’s history, animals, and ecosystem from your experienced guide.
You will visit the Wildlife Conservation Center, located at the end of Turnagain Arm and surrounded by mountain peaks. You will have the chance to explore on your own and visit the many animals in the center, including brown bears, wolfs, caribou, moose, and the endangered Woodland Bison.
After the Wildlife Center, you will have the opportunity to see the majestic Portage Valley, a few miles drive from the Wildlife Center. Here you will enjoy several amazing viewpoints of glaciers, lakes, rivers, and a unique rainforest.

This is a great tour! Ben is very knowledgeable and takes good care of his clients. Be sure to add on the glacier cruise, it is phenomenal. Take a coat, the wind is cold on the top deck of the boat.

Although the trip down the turnagain arm was quite scenic, there was no wildlife to see and considering the road traveled was heavily used it is doubtful that you would see much in the way of wildlife. The self guided hike to Bryson glacier was enjoyable, but there was little else. There was a stop at a wildlife rescue center that was dusty and crowded but we did see bear, kind of a zoo setting. The guide/driver was pleasant but offered very little in the way of narration or information. The van was new and clean and had great viewing windows for the scenery. Not a bad experience but not what i would book if you were wanting primarily a wildlife experience.

My tour guide was very knowledgeable an excitited about what he was doing!! I believe that's amazing to have someone that's not press for time is welling to enjoy an be amaze by nature just as much as some of us were!! I had a great time an learned a lot!
