Join Ye Olde Tavern Tours to see 10 sites on the Freedom Trail-including the site of the Boston Massacre and the Old State House-and grab a drink at 3 historic taverns. Beer and/or hard cider is included in the ticket price, so all you need to do is show up ready for fun.

Our guests want a unique and memorable way to learn about Boston's revolutionary (and drunken) history and for the past ten years, we have delivered. Our guides are expertly-trained historians who are also incredibly personable. Our founder, owner, and frequent tour guide has a PhD in American history and is a two-time author. We know our stuff and are passionate about sharing the most interesting stories.

We cap each tour at 12 people to provide an intimate experience. Ye Olde Tavern Tours is the most fun and social way to experience Boston!

Brooke was such a phenomenal guide. I have never learned more and been as engaged as we were with her. If you’re in the Boston area this is an ABSOLUTE must! You will learn so much in an absolutely fun and creative way. As a guide, Brooke was insanely knowledgeable, fun, passionate, etc. But, what set her apart from everyone else is the fact that you could hear her excitement and enthusiasm for the history. Which, made us really excited about it as well!!

This was the very most fun! We learned so much on the 2 hour tour solely due to our guide! She. Was. Awesome! She was so knowledgeable, friendly and extremely entertaining! I wish I could have had her as my History prof in college!! Highly! Highly recommend this tour. The company was also so accommodating when we booked the wrong date for the tour. I am so glad we did not miss this event!!!

I am from the Boston area and went on this tour with my sister and friends. Not only was it the perfect amount of time (and walking - not too far) but really fun and informative. Our tour guide (Brooke) presented history in a fun, clear and informative way. We had an absolute blast and I would highly recommend to anyone, Boston locals included!
