Hop aboard our Zodiac inflatable fast boats for a guided excursion on the Pacific Ocean in Alaska’s Inside Passage! Take turns at the tiller driving or hang on and enjoy the ride. There are many tours here that allow you to just ride along, this isn’t one of them. Small groups of up to 3 inflatable fast boats follow a guide boat through the jagged coastline islands of Southeast Alaska in search of bald eagles nests, resident seals and sea lions, an immense array of inter tidal creatures and, everyone’s favorite, bubble-net feeding humpback whales! Clover Pass features calmer waters and often better weather than tours running in downtown Ketchikan so we love getting you out of town and away from the crowds.

Enjoy a beautiful spread of smoked salmon dip, warm crab and brie, hummus and other snacks and complimentary beverages (Beer, wine 21+ with iD) from the amazing view at the Salmon Falls Resort Restaurant after your time on the water.

We saw quite a few whales so that was fun. Our guide also pulled out some bull kelp from the water and offered it for people to taste it. We thought the trip would do more, cruising along the shoreline to see different animals of Alaska and that did not happen. This is a very new company, and they are still working out some of the glitches. The snacks after returning were really good and very native to Alaska. When we signed up, we thought we would have our own boat. We needed to share instead with another pair, because one of their boats was not functional.

Thank you for touring with us on our newest tour this season. This is not a new company, we have been ranked #1 on this platform for over 5 years in a row now. Just to clarify, this excursion is listed/marketed as taking up to 4 people per boat on every tour. That is standard for this type of tour anywhere else around here. You were not in a boat with other guests for any other reason than that. We also cannot guarantee any specific wildlife along the shoreline at any given time. I'm glad you got to watch humpback whales on your tour. We see them a lot out in Clover Pass but not on every tour, everyday.

Excellent experience. The self ride boat was really fun and beautiful views. We booked it independently from the cruise and it was really easy and everyone was really helpful via text, email and phone. They provided the gear and it was really clean. The snacks at the end were delicious. Everyone was really nice.
