Hawaii looks even better from horseback, so hop on and join us for an adventure you’ll always remember. Led by a friendly guide, you’ll travel through pastures and mountain trails, seeing the gorgeous sights of Oahu’s North Shore along the way, with its clear, blue water, offshore islands, and white sandy beaches. You also get a sneak peek into the Hidden Cave, featured on “Hawaii 5-0”.

You’ll ride to the top of our lookout point and feel proud of yourself for getting there like a real paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). We look forward to you being a part of our Ohana for a day here at Gunstock Ranch.

  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • CHECK-IN TIME: Check in is 45 minutes prior the start time of tour. A safety demo is given 15 minutes prior to the tour, if you miss the safety demo will have missed your tour
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • Minimum age is 7 years
  • All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. 235lb/106kg weight limit.
  • Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
  • We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
  • Phones or small cameras are allowed.
  • No pregnant or intoxicated riders are allowed to ride.

We come to the North Shore every year for the surf, but always try to do one thing we hadn't done before. This was one of the best experiences in our many years. The ride was beautiful and our guide made it really enjoyable. We saw an area of the North Shore "country" that we would have never gotten a chance to see otherwise. We took the last ride of the day, which blessed us with a gorgeous sunset and plenty of opportunity for photos of the landscape and the animals on the ranch. Highly recommend!

Great staff and beautiful horses, we loved the ride through the mountains of the North Shore area. The staff was wonderful, lively, and engaged with the guests and the animals. This is a great change of pace as we doubled up with zip lining in the am and horseback in the afternoon with a little lunch on the in-between...a good day!

Overall I would say it was good. The weather was beautiful and it was pretty scenery. Being at the back of the single file line of horses, I couldn’t hear anything the guide was saying. There was a guide in the back too so it would have been nice if she shared the same info or if they had some way to make it easier to hear. There was nothing really unique or adventurous. I can see that it would be a fun activity for kids.
