On a cold, drizzly, misty morning in mid-January, a friend and I took the tour from Dineh with Marjorie as our guide. It was off season, so we had almost the whole valley to ourselves. We were the only ones in the van and we saw almost no other cars, and definitely no other vans or buses! BUT, we did see the most incredible scenery imaginable. I highly recommend going off season! Marjorie educated us about Navaho traditions, ceremonies, plant/tree use, building methods, and so much more! We stopped at numerous places to take the most incredible photographs and we did a lot of laughing and talking. We even saw a weaving demonstration in a Navaho Hogan. It was an incredible adventure. I recommend it with all my heart! And, if you happen to see a navy blue hat in the van, it's mine! (I did love that hat.)
