See Old Faithful unlike the average tourist. This tour uses the Biscuit Basin Trailhead to start the six-mile loop hike through the entire Upper Geyser Basin. This is the only hiking tour of its kind offered regularly in Yellowstone. We encounter the very busy Old Faithful area as the mid-point of our hike. Sections of this hike are on boardwalk. There are also sections on dirt trail where there are few other hikers.

Hike among half the world's geysers. Also see numerous colorful hot springs and vibrant pools. We encounter wildlife from time to time including bison and bear. Take a pit stop at the Historic Old Faithful Inn to visit the facilities.

3
Old Faithful Inn

Aaron, our tour guide, was amazing, very informative, and also very patient with the two “old” ladies. It was definitely strenuous, but we made it!

The hike was more than 5 miles. Some parts fairly difficult. Did not see Old Faithful up close. Guide missed timing on other geysers. Would not recommend. Easier to walk with a guide book. Description says will see Old Faithful up close and the Old Faithful Inn. Did NOT happen.

Sorry to hear that the hike did go as planned for you, sir. There are options on the route to see the geyser from Observation Point that the guides sometimes decide to add. But it is possible to by-pass the dirt track and hill climb and stay solely on the boardwalk. We will ask the guides to please be more considerate if people are not interested in climbing the hill and would prefer to head to the Inn instead. Thank you for your review.
