The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 6 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for a ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush a dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

Total Tour Time: 1.5 hours - includes 1 hour with the dogsled team (aprox 30 min sled ride) and approx 30 min round trip flightseeing

DRESS FOR ALL WEATHER - the weather at dog camp is high elevation and may be cold and wet. Layers with an outer waterproof shell is recommended.
Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.
VAN TRANSFERS TO DEPARTURE LOCATION NOT INCLUDED - can be added for a fee

Everything about this experience was just magical! Started off with an amazing helicopter flight with Jessy, he showed us all of the views, pointed out a ton of wildlife while also sharing his knowledge of the glaciers that he was showing us. The dog sledding was super fun we got to go on a 2 mile run with the dogs and our musher was so sweet to make sure we all got to change spots on the sleds. So I started right close to the dogs then ended with getting to steer the second sled. After that she showed us the camp life and let us say hi to a lot of the dogs! Overall this tour is worth every penny! Go explore and have the best time with Alaska Helicopter Tours!

Highly recommend!!! We went with the kids 7, 10 and 12yo. We also had seniors in our group 70+. Everyone loved it!. Unforgettable views, friendly staff.
