Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes. Shuttle boat ride from the pier to the submarine and transfer is 5 minutes each way
Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder to board the submarine

Guests will discover an 18,000-year-old, 25-acre fringing coral reef, which boasts a vibrant ecosystem. Passengers view coral formations and tropical fish.Headset providing narrations in Japanese, Korean, Mandarin and Spanish are available upon request at no additional cost. Our escorts will assist you to our shuttle vessel from our Atlantis office which will take you out to the submarine.

One of other guests on the submarine said : “ who need scuba diving if you have this “ Although i’m not completely agree with this statement, for someone who is not into diving , this is a great opportunity to see the underwater world of Kona coast. The crew was nice and knowledgeable, and overall it was a great experience. And yes, you WILL see different sea creatures.

A friend recommended this and I’m so glad we did it. The staff were terrific, and Jason, our tour guide had a lot of interesting information. There’s a short boat ride out to the submarine, then a climb down into the sub on a ladder. We had a small group so we were told to all sit on one side and they tailored the experience for that side. The sub descends down to a coral reef, where Jason pointed out the names of the many fish we saw. We also saw a sand shark as well as a different kind of shark. We saw all kinds of fish. Then the sub went down deeper to a depth of 105 feet. We saw a couple of ship wrecks, with the interesting stories of how they came to be on the ocean floor. I’m really glad we did this, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
