We originally wanted to go to just the Aquarium but bought tickets for the Aquarium and Insectarium. I'm so glad we did. The Aquarium itself was a little underwhelming for us considering we live in Boston and are used to the New England Aquarium. The Insectarium which I didn't even want to visit, ended up being a highlight of our day! It had so much information and so many insects we've never seen before. If you have some extra time, it's not a bad place.

The staff are the best I've ever encountered, especially Deborah! The insectarium was my favorite part. You get to sample snacks made with insects. I loved it and will look for a recipe book. The butterfly exhibit was closed which was unfortunate, but everything else was great fun.

This experience was full of highs and lows. The interactive exhibits in both areas were great. We particularly liked the butterfly house and feeding the birds. We also enjoyed the opportunity to eat an insect. Getting around in the Aquarium is challenging and it was quite crowded with school groups the day we were there. I also wish there was just one gift shop rather than several. It seemed more commercial than educational.
