This is our favorite tour! We care about you, your experience, and your time in South Dakota.

You'll be taken to special locations where animals congregate during the setting sun. As you enjoy the wildlife of the Badlands, we'll take care of any photos you wish. The "Blue Hour" begins after sunset and continues for an hour, highlighting the wild formations with the bright blue and orange sky.

Next, we'll take you to the night viewing area in the park at a location only My XO Adventures knows. We'll see planets, shooting stars, and the Milky Way Galaxy.

Our highly skilled guide will capture night photos and share them at the end of the tour, ensuring you have great memories of your experience.

We booked with Daniel about a week before we arrived in SD. He was very pleasant and helped in planning what we wanted to see. Because we had an hour plus drive to get to the Badlands we left mid morning thinking we’d hike around on our own then meet Daniel for the sunset tour later. Daniel had been kind enough to give us some ideas of where to go during the day. About 30 mins out from The Badlands he called and explained that it was pouring rain at The Badlands and the weather outlook for the rest of the day was not very good, and even worse for the evening sunset. He suggested we cancel and was very kind to offer to refund our money as the experience was not going to be what we would want. We continued on to The Badlands on our own anyway so the day was not a total loss, but the weather wasn’t the best and we were very grateful that Daniel was honest and refunded our money. We look forward to hiring him for any tour the next time we’re in Rapid City.

We absolutely LOVED our trip with Daniel to watch the sun set over the Badlands and capture the night sky at its finest! We highly recommend this excursion. You won't be disappointed! Daniel is a wealth of knowledge and easy to converse with. He is professional and detail-oriented. Thanks for a great evening, Daniel!

This was the perfect tour to take in the beauty of the Badlands - Daniel knew just which routes to take and where to stop for stunning vistas and photos. He’d thought of every little detail, including comfy camp chairs, fresh fruit to snack on, and chocolate to watch the stars with! We highly recommend Daniel and My XO Adventures.
