Aurora Camp is located on a hilltop near Murphy Dome, a top Northern Lights viewing spot near Fairbanks, favored by Aurora photographers. The cabin sits in an area with wide-open views, free from light pollution or any obstructions, offering a full panoramic view of the Northern Lights. Relax in a cozy Alaskan-style cabin with six large windows providing over 180° of stunning views while enjoying hot chocolate in comfort.

* 1,500 sq ft new cabin, built in summer 2023
* Free portrait photography
* Indoor restroom
* Unlimited hot chocolate, coffee, tea, snacks, board games, etc.

Tour Options:
* With transfer (pickup and drop-off): Available from all Fairbanks and North Pole hotels, Airbnbs, etc.
* No transfer: Drive your rental car to the cabin. The roads are well-maintained and in good condition.

I would definitely recommend this tour! The guide drove safely and pointed out Aurora from the van on the way to the cabin. We had about a 30% chance of seeing it according to the app, but man, did we get a show! The first show lasted about 20 minutes, and the guide took professional looking photos for us and helped us with settings on our own cameras. We went inside the warm cabin, complete with sofas, snacks, games, heat, and a real bathroom. We kept an eye on the sky from inside and went outside every time the Lights danced. Because we were lucky enough to see such amazing lights in the first 1.5 hours, I wish we didn't stay the whole time.

Wasn’t the best weather to see the lights in all their glory, but can’t blame the tour guide for that. He was very friendly and courteous the cabin may not look like much, but it is cozy and warm they offer a variety of snacks and warm beverages. I just happened to book the tour on a cloudy day. Either way I had fun and would recommend.

For anyone like me who thought this tour was too good to be true, it isn’t! We had a great time, we got to see the lights and it was amazing, not only that but this tour is cheaper than any other in Fairbanks and includes photography, hot choc, and while it was just me and my partner, I did see they had games in the cabin as well as plenty seating if they’re were to be a larger number of people, I can’t recommend this enough!
