This tour wasn't what I expected based on the descriptionon the website. We spent majority of our time at the Reading Terminal Market. I wouldn't consider this a foodie tour. Would have been better off walking around the city looking for Philly foods. I found myself saying "this would be better with cheese" throughout the tour. Tour guide was nice and knowledgeable and interesting history, food was mediocre.

Dick was very well knowledgeable of the history of Philadelphia. The stories behind each food item, buildings, and structures shows his passion for this place. This tour made me appreciate this place more with the history it holds. I plan to come back here with my family and friends and hopefully get the same tour.

Dick did a great job of mixing food history & development of modern Philadelphia. Plenty of stops in parks to enjoy food sampling. Tip: Come hungry. We were expecting small samples, but there was plenty to eat. We canceled dinner reservations because we were so full.
