We had a 2 day pass for the big bus tour. We found them to be very organised and buses came frequently every 15mins. With the premium ticket you can go on the night bus tour and circle line liberty cruise ticket. We did the downtown and up town loops as well as the night tour. All tours were informative we found out the history of certain sites which was a nice touch. We has 2 really funny tour guides one was a lady I didn't catch her name the driver was called Mario and the other was a guy I think he was called Greg (I could be wrong) I think the tour is worth it especially with children. It was great to learn about the different areas which you wouldn't find out if you get a cab. The night tour was non stop for 90mins you start at time square outside the M&M store it takes you past the empire state, union square, little Italy to name a few then get to go over the Manhattan bridge....... it is high so if you don't like heights don't look down. Unfortunately we didn't go the cruise as 1 of the days was raining non stop but still did the tour.

We have used Big Bus company in multiple countries and it’s always been good service; not in NYC. We were a family of 4 and had to wait for 3 busses before we could get on. Even when we got on my family had to split up because of unavailable seats and all sit separately. We only got off on one stop because we were scared that we would have to wait hours to get back on again! On the return leg a bus went by empty and didn’t even stop. After 3 busses we decided not to waste our time more and to Uber back to our hotel! A waste of money for us unfortunately.

I was unable to hear the tour guide. The sound was so scratchy, I went downstairs and negotiated a crowded seat and the ear jack did not work at all. I had tried two earphone cords so it was not that. I went upstairs and told the tour guide who showed little interest and said to sit next to him if they didn’t work. I tried a third seat and again the sound quality was so scratchy I could hardly understand what the tour guide was saying. I eventually got off at stop 13 and caught a taxi back to Time Square. Very unsatisfactory. I told the tour guide the third seat I tried had sound problems and they need to test the phone jacks. I told the tour guide I was very dissatisfied and he was disinterested and just said Happy New Year. In addition, I wanted the Uptown Harlem tour and was sold a $55 ticket that did not include this. I purchased the ticket at Times Square on 1 January at 12:18pm. I caught the bus leaving Times Square at about 12:30. The tour guide was a short skinny man about 50 years old with long blonde hair. I will be doing the tip again with your competitor. I have been on 11 Bus Tours in cities around the world.
