We purchased 3 tickets from a street vendor at Bryant Park in Manhattan last week. Our main purpose was the Statue of Liberty cruise--which we paid extra for. We were told that the bus would drop us off at the boat location. We explained our time schedule to the Big Bus employee who sold us the tickets and he assured us that the tour was perfect for our schedule. We rode to the cruise terminal area and were told to depart the bus and to catch a waiting shuttle to the cruise portion of the tour. When we disembarked from the bus at the harbor area, it was total chaos. No one knew where to go. We spoke with two different Big Bus employees who provided different (and wrong) instructions. The only Big Bus personnel in the area were selling tour tickets and could not/would not assist us otherwise. We were eventually informed that there was no shuttle--we had to walk "10 minutes" down the harbor to get on the 3:45 tour. I called the Big Bus customer service line 3 times for help but was only told I needed to get to Pier 16, about a mile away, for the 3:45 tour. Very frustrating. When we arrived, there were no Big Bus tour personnel and we were told that the 3:45 tour had been sold out earlier in the day. I immediately requested a refund on the BB tour website and strongly suggest you DO NOT TAKE THE BIG BUS TOUR. Read the reviews first and take one of the many other tour companies instead.

Good Afternoon Dan D. We're so sorry that your experience did not match your expectations. This is on us for the lack of communication, the cruise operates from 2 Piers. Pier 83 is located at 42nd and 12th Ave and has departures at 10:00am. You can also take the Cruise at Pier 16, which has departures at 10am, 11:30am, 12:45pm, 2:30pm, 3:45pm, all this information is post upon purchasing tickets as well on our website, app and on the redeemed receipt paper tickets. Please also keep in mind, you have 5 days from date of redemption to utilize it. We always aim to deliver a great encounter and we regret that we missed the mark, staff are to inform passengers of this information. They are also expected to treat our guests with courtesy, respect and kindness. We appreciate you providing names and descriptions of the tour guides and drivers that you had on your tours, to [email protected] as this information helps us with coaching and retraining. Best money spent in NYC! We were able to see so much by riding the buses that otherwise we would not have had time to see. Very convenient.

Good tour around the city learning about the history. Commentators were very good and knowledgable. Need to board first bus early and best to do a complete circuit before going back and getting on and off at what takes your fancy.
