Capitol Reef National Park

Join us for a drive through Capitol Reefs back country to a scenic paradise of desert landscapes in our luxury 4X4 vehicle through cathedrals, temples, buttes and hoodoos that will get you away from most all of the park’s visitors. We’ll ford the Fremont River and stop at the Bentonite Hills, walk around, take pictures, talk about the geology and history of the area, stop at viewpoints along the way and enjoy the solitude, visit the iconic Temples of the Sun and Moon, see geological oddities such as Glass Mountain and ancient lava flows. This trip has tons of photographic opportunities and is missed by most visitors to Capitol Reef due to its remote location and often times challenging roads. If you're looking for a Jeep tour of Capitol Reef give us a shot, we don't drive Jeep but have more comfortable luxury vehicle to accommodate larger groups, enjoy the air conditioning on those hot summer days or enclosed SUV with a heater for the chilly days! We do winter tours as well.

I cannot add too much to all the rave reviews of Jason’s superb talents as a tour guide. It’s all true. We took a half-day tour of parts of Cathedral Valley that we hadn’t seen on an earlier trip to Torrey. Jason created the perfect itinerary for us. He was personable and informative, drove safely, paced it all brilliantly, and threw in a few stunning additional stops. Truly memorable! He’s as good as it gets!

Have always wanted to visit Cathedral Valley in Capitol reef NP (Utah). I've been to CRNP several times but haven't made it out to CV until last week. Our driver and guide (Sam) was very knowledgeable, capable and fun. He's well versed with the area, easy to engage with and has a desire to push your limits on the roads/trails. We had such a great time! 5 1/2 hours flew by like it was 20 minutes. I highly recommend this company. You can get out to CV on your own but you won't even come close to what's possible without a guide. It might be a bit pricey for some, but for us it was worth every penny and more.

Capitol Reef has only a short through road (open summer 2024) and a scenic drive (closed) that are paved. The park is much bigger than can be seen from current paved roads but a lot is accessible by 4x4. We actually did 2 trips with this company (don't see the other one listed to review). We had an amazing time. Jason and his wife Elizabeth came for both of the tours. Both are extremely knowledgable and excellent 4x4 drivers. We learned here for the first time that (some) dinosaur bones are radioactive! The views of some of the less traveled regions of the park are awesome, not the least, the Cathedral Valley with its Temples of the Sun and Moon. Also a large sink hole and a "glass mountain" make up the highlights of this tour. Highly recommended.
