Abner was an outstanding guide. I don’t take the time to review much. He and this tour are worth it, tho! He was on time, funny & very educated. Comfortable air conditioned minivan. Top quality lights, helmets, kayaks and paddles. Fast paced to let you do a lot. Very informative. It was a good value.

I just want to send a shout out to Narciso, VIV owner and Abner our guide! The excursion was worth every penny. Abner was very informative and mindful of our return time (we were on a cruise) The van was comfortable and Abner is a good driver! I asked Abner about local fruit, and all of the sudden, he stops at a fruit stand and bought us all some papaya and pineapple and told us a little about harvest times for some of the fruit. As we arrived at the Caves, Abner pre-ordered our lunch (additional cost but so worth it!) and off we went to the caves. WE WERE THE ONLY ONES (3 COUPLES) THAT WERE NOT CARRYING ANYTHING (TUBES OR KAYAKS) Everyone else was going up to the caves carrying their tubes. As we walked, Abner pointed out several trees, he gave us the opportunity to eat termites (minty, celery, carroty flavor), told us about traditions and the mixture of Christian and Mayan cultures! When we got into the kayaks, my wife was a little apprehensive and Abner immediately asked her to go with him so he changed his kayak to a double, accommodate me into a different kayak and that put her much at ease by reassuring her that he has had lots of experience and that she would be ok. My wife enjoyed the trip! All in all, VIV is a great company, Abner is a great guide. Make sure to ask for him!!! and...tip him well, he is worth every penny!

Abner was a fantastic guide. His knowledge of the island was amazing and we had a brilliant adventure.
