We offer small group guided guided kayak trips on this pristine mountain lake near Haines, Alaska. Our guides all undergo rigorous in house safety training along with Wilderness First Aid training. In addition our guides have degrees and or in depth knowledge in Zoology, Biology and Natural history and live in the community of Haines. This gives our guides the unique ability to share with you not only the natural beauty of the area but the unique lifestyle we live here in this little fishing town of Haines, at the northern most point of the inside passage.

Unfortunately Haines does not have much to do according to the members of the family who did not do this excursion. For the rest of us, it was one of the greatest plans of the trip. Beautiful lake, excellent tour guides (John and "R"), and very helpful every step of the way. At some point, one of the tour guides asked us to just close our eyes and regulate our breathing. What an amazing thing to do. You get to actually experience calm and nature 100%. Great place to take amazing pictures as well.

The scenery was amazing. Joe was professional and knowledgeable and provided everything we needed to spend a few hours on the lake. We saw a sockeye jump on the water and their spawning ground. Also saw a couple of eagles. Joe explained a lot about the area. Very easy to talk to and great information. Even provided a great lunch for our drive back to the ferry. Thank you Joe for a wonderful day in Haines!

My husband and I had a fantastic time kayaking around Lake Chilkoot. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. We highly recommend it!
