*Our mission is to make your tour the highlight of your vacation! We will do everything we can to make that happen! Our captain is a local who has navigated these waters for over 40 years!

*Our tours are a Full 2 hours around Chincoteague and Assateague! We run all brand new boats and travel over 25 miles of coastline. Sunrise and Sunset tours available!

*Our tours allow you to have the best, up close and personal experience to see ponies and other wildlife such as eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, dolphin, and beautiful sunsets around Chincoteague and Assateague Islands.

*Each experience includes a tour of the island and cruise through small guts and waterways to get you up close to an abundance of wildlife and scenery.

*We look forward to sharing our Island with you!

Captain Mike is the best! We had some beautiful weather for our trip and Mike took advantage of it and was able to show us some great sights. Being a local, Mike really knows his stuff and was able to share some great info on the area. The kids loved seeing the ponies up close, and we were even able to spot a new foal that hadn't yet been seen by anyone. All in all a great experience! We'll be back to go fishing with Mike this fall for sure!

Captain Mike was the highlight of our trip to Chincoteague island. He was funny, engaging, and informative and personalized our tour to focus on seeing ponies. He gave us the backstory on the different bands, such as the ones led by Don Leonard and Riptide, and we were able to see ponies from both the Southern herd and the Northern herd. We learned a lot of Chincoteague history and so much about a variety of the area wildlife, to include birds, horseshoe crabs, dolphins, and sharks, as well as the history of the ponies and how they came to be so famous. We strongly recommend Captain Mike's tour. We will surely go tour with him again when we go back. Thank you, Captain Mike!

Up the Bay Pony Tours was by far the best part of our trip. Knowledgeable, funny, charismatic! We got up close and personal with the ponies, learned so much about native wildlife and saw the island from a locals point of view! (And the fancy, new, super fast boat was a great added bonus!!) All and all this was the absolute! Cannot wait to go again!
