MINI Cooper

You're in a special city. Why take an ordinary tour? This is the ONLY convertible MINI Cooper tour in the country!

This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

1
MINI Cooper.
7
12
Coit Tower
See the murals and views the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. How much time you spend is up to you.
13
Painted Ladies
Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

15
North Beach
Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.
16
Lombard Street
If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown
Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury
Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.
19

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.
20
Twin Peaks
Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.
21
16 Avenue Tiled Steps
The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

We found Reed on TripAdvisor and am most grateful we did. My teenage daughter had a great time touring the highlights of SF in Reed's beautiful convertible Mini Cooper. Reed is very knowledgable and shares his insights with a theatrical delivery style that is very engaging. His service level is impeccable as he agreed to take us over the Golden Gate bridge to our car rental office after the tour...the Enterprise office might even become one of the standard attractions offered to future clients...

This tour was definitely a highlight of my trip to San Francisco. I paid for an 8 hour tour for my aunt and I. We started with an overview tour of the city including Coit Tower and North Beach, Chinatown, Lombard Street, and many other postcard worthy sites (including the Yoda statue). It was so easy to take pictures because the top was down on the convertible. We then went over the Golden Gate Bridge for a tour of Muir Woods and a couple of wineries. Reed, our driver/tour guide, was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the locations we visited. He even had historical photos to pull out and show us what used to be there decades and centuries ago. He was incredibly accommodating. If a guest had very specific ideas about how the tour should go, he would make it happen. My aunt and I didn't really know what we wanted other than a basic tour so Reed jumped into explaining different sites. (He made me feel at home and not awkward--which was a concern since it is a private tour). As a small car he was able to go places large tours couldn't like the picturesque Lombard Street. As a commercial driver, he was able to go where personal cars couldn't like parking at Muir Woods. It was the best of both worlds. As a great final touch, before he dropped us off at a restaurant of our choosing for dinner, he called ahead to make sure we had a table. It was incredible. If you want a perfect tour of San Francisco or any of the surrounding areas go with Small Car Big Time tours. I could not have asked for a better tour. I wish he were in every city I visited.

Booked Reed after seeing the reviews and was not disappointed. He was there when he said he would be and showed us all the sights that we had come to see plus some. We had booked a 4 hour tour of the city and it just flew by as we were having so much fun. The mini cooper is the way to see San Francisco as it zips in and around traffic and having Reed giving us his knowledge about the history of San Francisco was fantastic. There is so much to see in San Francisco but I think the wife and I made a good dent in it. Do not hesitate to use Reed and the mini cooper as we are both 60 and had no problem getting in and out of this car. Any questions PM me and I will answer them for you. Steve
