This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Call it Postcard Row, the Painted Ladies, or the Full House houses, everyone loves seeing this site in person. And if you want to get out and take a picture, you can. As with all locations, if you want to get out is up to you.

Presidio of San Francisco

Drive through this former Army base turned national park. Stop and see the Yoda statue if you want.

North Beach

Learn the history and culture of this neighborhood that is a favorite of locals and visitors alike.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

Reed Rahmann's private tour of San Francisco was the highlight of our trip, and an excellent way to kick off the vacation with an overall view of the city. He's charming, engaging, and full of fascinating insider information about the city and its history. We piled into the back of his mini convertible and took off, the top down on a foggy fresh day in the middle of January, wearing our winter gear and tucked under blankets Reed supplied. We had only a vague idea of where we wanted to go, so Reed helped us plan the perfect itinerary. He is at your command: Where ever you want to stop or go, he will make it happen. The fog burned off, the sun came out and it was comfortable and warm as we tooled around experiencing the sights from an intimate street level. Bring your cameras! We also went to Muir Woods, while Reed waited patiently, then on to Sausalito, where he dropped us off and we hopped the ferry for a magical ride back. His suggestions and recommendations were spot on. A wonderful day.

Its been an awesome experience with Reed and his mini for our first time tour in SFO :) He is very thoughtful and takes care of his guests very well. We travelled with our 4 year old and he took utmost care of even putting the child seat in his car the night before :) It was fun seeing the city with him and he is expert in customizing the places in time as he knows the city like the back of his hand. We took some of our dream shots near Golden Gate in his mini and visited Twin peaks , telegraph hill , Lombard Street and of course the famous 'Yoda' :) ... all in 2 hours :) Thank you Reed for helping us create nice memories and being such a wonderful host :) Much Appreciated.

I brought my 88 year old mother out to visit my kids in the Bay Area and wanted to give her a non-taxing San Francisco adventure. Reed provided us with that and more. Zipping through the streets and up and down the hills in his Mini Cooper convertible, we were able to get a bird's eye view of the key sites and cover my essentials (Alamo Square, the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street and more). His commentary was both informative and entertaining and his willingness to work with me to provide the easiest pick up and drop off points lessened the amount of walking we needed to do. That said, this is a tour that all ages can enjoy...so much better than large group excursions. Get up close and personal to this beautiful city with Small Car Big Time Tours!
