1
3
Furnace Creek
4
Badwater

Day drive from Las Vegas (about 2 hours), Gas up before you leave Vegas. Minimal to no cell phone coverage unless in Pahrump or Furnace Creek Visitor Center. DO NOT USE the bathroom at the pull over station, where you can pay for park entrance (you will regret it. The smell made me gag, and I almost threw up. I was still gagging for about five minutes after I exited the bathroom. I’m a nurse and I’ve endured a lot of gross things over the years, but the smell coming from this bathroom has topped the list). Wait and use the bathrooms at the furnace creek visitors station. It was about noon when we arrived. We did sand dunes, which is 30 minutes out from furnace creek visitor center. Then we turned around and headed back towards the visitor center and did Devils golf course, bad water basin, artist’s pallet (The second parking lot is more colorful than the first) and then Zabriskie’s point. By that time it was 4:30 pm and the sun was setting so we did not have time to go up to Dante’s View. Everywhere that we stopped was easy walking access from the parking lot. We went in January and temperature was 65 degrees Fahrenheit. If I had to do anything different (other than the bathroom experience), I probably would’ve allotted for one to two more hours worth of time in the park!

Hi Lars, Thank you for your detailed review. So glad you had a fun day at Death Valley. We pay billions to the parks in America and this is the service they give us, they will hear about this. That is unacceptable performance by the park service. And the weather is great in winter but the days are shorter. Although, we still spend a solid 3-4 hours in the park. Thank you so much, Will & Donna Tryon - Owners

Our tour guide Clayton was so enthusiastic, caring and entertaining! He had heaps to tell us about Death Valley and the surrounding area including some fascinating history. We loved walking in the salt flats, sand dunes and the Devil's golf course. We highly recommend Adventure Photo Tours!😊

We loved the private tour ! Art was our guide and driver for the day. He is experienced, knowledgeable and very accommodating. It was one of the most memorable tours of my life.. also courtesy of the scenery. The vehicle was very comfortable and as we had a concert to attend at the Las Vegas sphere in the evening, Art made sure that we could see all the important things by not rushing and making recommendations on the pick up time and on the order of sites to visit. His preparation and knowledge on the job was vital as the Death Valley park had just reopened after the biggest flood in a century where only some roads were re-opened. We were able to navigate around the area without issues and be back on time for a shower a quick bite and be at the concert on time !
