We recently got home from our Manatee swim. We had an amazing time. I've had a love of Manatees for many years, but I've never had the experience of swimming with them. I decided to book the trip for myself, my husband, & 3 kids (8,9,12). After arriving at the shop, you watch a video of "Things not to do", then squeeze, wiggle, & jump into your wetsuit. Walk outside to get a quick group picture, then to the boat! Our Captain Jim, was great & knew a lot about the local widlife & birds. Dakota was our water guide/swimmer & photographer. They both have great personalites, and both have great patience with kids. No question was ignored, no matter how many were asked! We drove around for a little while once in Kings Bay looking for our own Manatee. They didn't want to put us out with groups of people from other boats, and that I appreciate. All my kids can swim, but they aren't great at snorkeling. As a Mom, I keep my eye on them & appreciate not being in a huge group. Once we located a Manatee, we were able to enter the water. Dakatoa led us over to the eating Manatee and stayed with us the entire time. He even allowed my youngest to hang on his arm and pulled him around in the water. After being able to swim around with the Manatee for some time, we re-boarded the boat & went to Hunters Springs to snorkel some. On the way back we found a Dolphin that played with the boat. My kids loved the experience! I highly recommend this place... Also don't forget to get your trip pictures on the Manatee thumb drive!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, and for choosing Crystal River Watersports for your tour.
Manatees are so amazing and it is always a great experience to share with family. The Nature Coast has so many beautiful sights, and nothing in the world is like a manatee. We are so happy that you enjoyed the time spent with Captain Jim, Dakota and the manatees- they are both great at their jobs.
Thank you again for going out with us, and for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate it.
