Beginning at the Bourse Building right across from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, plug into our multi-lingual headphone audio to discover the origins of America, where America’s Founding Fathers declared independence from England. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of such historic landmarks including the Christ Church Burial Grounds, Elfreth’s Alley, the Betsy Ross House, and Independence Hall.

As you head west, see the Friendship Gate in Chinatown, be amazed by the architecture of Philadelphia’s City Hall, and be sure to explore the various museums along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, including the Barnes Foundation – known as the world’s largest collection of post-impressionistic art in the world. As you continue your journey, marvel at Philadelphia’s growing skyline and get a bird’s-eye view from atop the One Liberty Observation Deck. Your loop finishes up after touring through the charming neighborhood of Society Hill and a drive along the banks of the Delaware River.

This is a good way to see a lot of the tourist spots in the city. We rode and got off at several stops. We even discovered other spots and went back to see them later. We had four different guides, two were really good two not so much. The bad two seemed to just want to tell jokes. Ask for a Discount, they will give you one.

I enjoyed being able to ride around the town and note places I intended to visit. I ended up only using one day on the bus, though I purchased two. The second day, I knew just where I wanted to go. All the duck, duck, duck was inconvenient and still, even with ducking I got a slap on the side of the face and shoulder that got my attention. Perhaps you could work with the city to get those trees trimmed since so much tourist $ comes into town.

The tour guides were exceptional; includes the two different buses we got on, as were the bus drivers. A lot was packed into the 1-1/2 hours and very glad we did the tour first followed up by the option to get on and off the bus. Never having been to Philadelphia before it was a great introduction. Allowed us to visit several attractions that same day.
