This is a party. Pure and simple. You enter what feels like a secret library room with some admittedly uncomfortable bench seats, take an initial complimentary shot, order from a fun tailored menu for anything additional and are immediately transported into a Shakespearean centered secret society that’s equal parts who’s line/high level theatre/an initiation ceremony/the circus/and hanging with friends. Everything they do is clever. It’s good enough to serve as an actual spark notes reproduction of the plays in question, you’ll be shocked how well the actual plot of the play will be realized and recalled despite the booze. But it’s also fun and outside the box enough to appeal to anyone who really couldn’t give a crap about Shakespeare. I can’t imagine an audience this would fail to appeal to short of maybe a completely uninterested in pop culture at all participant and maybe a politically correct at all times Karen. The actors are talented, brave, and unafraid to push boundaries or make fun of themselves. The whole thing feels like participating and being a part of witnessing a bunch of people just live their best and most unexpected lives and the energy they offer is infectious. Make ur way to the show if it’s offered anywhere near you and just let go for a night. You’ll be happy you did. Perfect fun date night experience provided they are vaccinated cuz yeah that’s a requirement here.
