Drunk Shakespeare
Get ready for a hilarious take on Shakespeare during this unique, 90-minute show in Chicago's renowned Loop district. Located at "The Lounge", this quirky performance showcases an intoxicated cast member. One classically-trained actor has at least five shots of whiskey and then attempts to perform in a Shakespearean play. The results are what Slate magazine describes as ā€˜the best thing to ever happen to the theater.ā€™ Craft cocktails are available for purchase during the show and there is a special treat upon arrival. 21+ ONLY

W0W! What an amazingly delightful evening! Shakespeare, cocktails and a contemporary, high-energy twist on all of it by an incredibly talented group of young actors. I expect to see some of them in the months and years to come in Second City or similar. A don't miss!

I know very little about Shakespeare but still find this very entertaining! This was our second show this year and we liked it just as much as the February showā€¦maybe more. You donā€™t just sit back and watchā€¦they interact with the crowd and itā€™s great! Drinks are served throughout the show. This is such a funny and entertaining show, small venue, and canā€™t wait to go again next time we visit Chicago!

So disappointed! We booked tickets through Tripadvisor. Arrived at the theater, only to find that the place was locked up. We waited for over half an hour in the cold, in the hopes of seeing someone, and finding out what was going on. Someone was inside the building, but they didn't respond to us knocking. If the show was cancelled, there should have been a notice on the door at least! I'm sure the show is great, but customer service sucked. Still trying to figure out how to get a refund on our tickets too.
