I firstly found the professionalism of the Drunk Shakespeare crew to be nothing short of top notch. Their first world class kind gesture was to help me with my massive blunder. I booked the wrong tickets to the wrong city and when I expressed that to them they sympathetically listened and transferred that experience to Chicago. When my girlfriend and I arrived we were greeted warmly and found a fun ornate drinks menu that geared to the theme eloquently with the event. When we were ushered inside we were smoothed over by the charming host of the show and were geared for excitement. What further came was nothing short of memorable. We experienced Macbeth like nothing else I have ever witnessed. It was whilst an extremely lucid and liberal expression, was a knockout time with an array of antics. Engaging, playful and over the top...just the way I like it. Honestly, just go. Go to this show and have a stellar time. You deserve this treat.

Where else can you combine alcohol, Shakespearean epithets, improvisational comedy, and audience participation all while being intimately close to the players in an authentically build library setting? Drunk Shakespeare rocked my wildest expectations. As an actor myself I have trouble remembering all of my lines anyway but mix that with Shakespeare's iambic pentameter and 4 shots of whiskey for the lead actor and you've got one hell of a funny mess! I did not stop laughing for 2 hours watching these amazing actors pull off a show while the lead was intoxicated! The staff is terrific, the speakeasy bar in front is a perfect backdrop to mingle before the show, and the waiters come in all night during the show to assure all guests have a cocktail (or non alcohol) in hand throughout the performance while not once interrupting the flow of the show. I should also mention that every guest entering the show is served an alcohol shot concoction for free before it begins! If you like to have fun, laugh, and be a participant in the raucous activity then you'll definitely enjoy the irreverence and atypical improvisation of this terrific show!

The venue was really cool but the actors are horrible, seats are very uncomfortable (sitting on plywood and no back) total waste of money don’t do it ..... BDJ
