Looking for some whitewater while avoiding white-knuckle rapids? The 3 hour Upper Half Day trip is perfect for families, first-timers who are timid, or for those who aren’t strong swimmers – especially in June when we have high water. Enjoy fun rapids such as Hilarity Hole, Screaming Left, and Killer Fang. These rapids offer plenty of splashes and relatively easy navigation without the challenge of long rapids like the Mad Mile. This trip is packed with splashes and smiles!

We did the classic zip and dip. This operation runs like a well-oiled machine. It isn’t easy to get people set up with gear and safety instructions, and get loaded into a shuttle. These guys do it well and are friendly in the process. Of course the activities were a blast! But we were very impressed by how professional the operation is ran. Finally, we appreciated the COVID precautions and efforts to allow people to enjoy the beautiful area and activities while recognizing we are in the midst of a global pandemic. Thank you Montana Whitewater!

Our family had nothing but positive things to say about our experience zip lining with Montana Whitewater. Our girls are ages 16, 14, and 12. They all loved it. Jason and Sage were fun, personal, and professional. Sage learned and remembered each of our names, and we had 9 people in our group. The zip lines were fun, the scenery was beautiful, and we crossed the Gallatin river twice. I highly recommend doing the 6 zip lines versus the 3. You will wish you had chosen 6 so you could enjoy the fun for longer. We had originally planned to do the zip and dip but ended up cancelling our white water rafting portion because our girls had gotten so cold on our rafting trip on the snake river. We didn’t learn until it was too late that this company provides wet suits, splash jackets, and booties for each person to help prevent getting too cold. We totally would have done it had we know. Next time we will.

Totally worth it! Our group of 9 had the best time rafting down the Gallatin! Our guides JD and Aaron were the best! The price of the trip included wet suits and everything we needed to keep from freezing! We did get wet, but we weren't cold! We can't wait to go back!!
