Looking for some whitewater while avoiding white-knuckle rapids? The 3 hour Upper Half Day trip is perfect for families, first-timers who are timid, or for those who aren’t strong swimmers – especially in June when we have high water. Enjoy fun rapids such as Hilarity Hole, Screaming Left, and Killer Fang. These rapids offer plenty of splashes and relatively easy navigation without the challenge of long rapids like the Mad Mile. This trip is packed with splashes and smiles!

We took our 9 & 11 year olds for their first rafting trip, and the staff and guides at Montana Whitewater made it such an awesome and unforgettable experience for them and for us. They made sure that we were in a boat with fun and experienced guides. Our guide, Barbo, has been doing this for years and he was great with the kids. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be back for another ride down the Gallatin!

Normally a little bit calmer, we caught the Gallatin River at the perfect time. The water was high and moving fast and the air temp was in the mid 70s. We hit some really fun rapids that got our raft rocking! The more challenging portion of the river wasn't open to commercial use yet, but the route we took still provided some bit of challenge. Our guide, Robert was friendly & knowledgeable too!

These guys are the best!! They took good care of us and we had a blast!!! My daughter was a little scared but they kept her reassured and safe!! Awesome job!!!
